    • Fall 2024 Course Schedule (pdf)for available courses.
    • Fall 2024 Course Registration Number (CRN) List (pdf)

    • Course Catalog for course descriptions.
    • Subjects tested on the bar exam of the state in which you plan to practice law, as described on the website of that state’s bar examiner. See NCBE’s Jurisdiction Information.
    • Each student has been assigned a faculty advisor to assist with academic, bar admission and career planning. If you don’t remember the name of your faculty advisor, please contact the Assistant Dean of Academic Administration, Ariel Shea, at ashea@udc.edu.
  • Credit Limits: Full-time students must take a minimum of 10 credits and may take a maximum of 15 credit hours during the semester. Part-time students must take a minimum of 7 credits and may take a maximum of 11 credit hours during the semester. Students request permission to exceed maximum credit hours by submitting aPermission to Exceed Term Credit Limit Form (pdf) to the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs. If approved, the student must submit the completed and approved form to the Registrar’s Office, indicating what course(s) are to be added to the schedule.
  • Limited Enrollment Courses and Wait Lists: Some courses have limited enrollment. Full-time and Part-time students in the Class of 2025 will have enrollment preference until 11:59 pm on July 9, 2024. In addition, Part-time students will have preference for certain course sections which are offered in the evening. If a limited enrollment course closes, you may email the Registrar’s Office (lawregistrar@udc.edu) and ask to be placed on the wait list. You will be notified if space becomes available during the Add/Drop period.
  • Upper Level Writing Requirement: All students are required to complete an Upper Level Writing Requirement (ULWR), which has two components: the Research and Legal Analysis Writing Requirement (RALWR), often referred to as the Research Paper Requirement, and the Applied Legal Writing Requirement (ALWR), often referred to as the Clinic Portfolio. Refer toStudent Handbook, Vol. I, Section 1.6 for details.
  • Core Electives Requirement: Students who started law school (at any law school) prior to Summer 2022 are required to successfully complete any three courses from a list of “required core electives.” See Student Handbook, Vol. I, Sections 1.1 and 1.4.

A student who is currently taking or has just completed a prerequisite for which the grade has not yet been recorded may register for the course, provided that the student must drop the course if the student’s grade in the prerequisite course is not satisfactory.See Student Handbook, Vol. I, Section 3.2.
  • Turbo Courses: Turbo Courses are intensive classes compressed into a short time period. Their class schedules differ from the standard time frame set on the Academic Calendar and different rules apply. Please see the Student Handbook, Vol. I, Section 3.4.2 for Turbo rules.
  • Classes not meeting minimum enrollment requirements are subject to cancellation.
