Enchant Char Description Screen - The Phrozen Keep (2024)

I have D2 v1.10 original enchant and the original enchant desciption. A friend of mine pointed out that the char screen and skill description dont match. So this is what I did to debug this description if possible. Maybe you can help me.

Original Skill Hitshift from v1.10 = 7
I set Edmin and Edmax = 100 for easy calculations
I set the synergy to zero for easy calculations

The skill description says the Enchant adds 100 fire damage
The char screen adds 200 damage.

So two quick questions
1) so is ACTUALLY added?
* 50 because the hitshift is 7 and I thought a hit shift of 7 was a 50% damage reduction
* 100 because edmin and edmax = 100
* 200 because the char screen says so

Sorry, I'm just thoroughly confused as to which one to believe.

2) An easy way to make the char screen and skill description match is to change the aura stat calculation from enma and exma to enma/2 and exma/2. But what damage would actually be done? 50?

Don't suffer if the char screen says a different number because the damage displayed isn't the correct on many situations since the display is bugged as hell.

What you should do is to test if the damage you are doing is the correct, so create a monster that is immune to physical and 0 resistance to fire with 200 hp (check guides/forum to make sure the life isn't changed for

or area level or whatever)

If you are dealing 100 fire damage it will take two hits to take him down.
if you deal 200 it will be taken out in 1.

Other thing that may be happening is that the fire damage is added both in minimum and maximum of your base damage and could be prone to modifications due to strenght or similar effects.

If you set the damage to 50 (using enma/exma), the skill says 100 and the char screen says 200, it sounds like you've got a +100% fire skill damage somewhere.
If that's the case, you'll be doing 100 damage with missile attacks and 200 damage with melee attacks.
